The Coalition of Humanitarian Relief issues his report about the situation in Taiz during Oct and Nov 2017. This report includes the humanitarian situation and material losses were recorded during Oct and Nov/2017, because of the war in the city. Added, the state of the main services inside the city.
CHR announced in his report that, the situation in the city is very critical therefore, the people in Taiz are in need for the humanitarian aids and humanitarian reliefs to keep them alive. In addition, there are 65 families lost their householders. In addition, there are 18 children, 6 women have been killed. In the other side, 22 children, 10 women, 105 adults were injured. Not only this, also, 200 householders were injured during the last two months.
The CHR refers in his report that there are 245 orphans, 618 persons are without householders, as a result of the war during June 2017. Therefore they are in need for the care. Added 40 houses, trucks, properties and 7 private and public institutions have been completely also 33 private and public institutions partly destroyed due to the war in the different areas in the city. So, they are in need to reconstruction or rebuild.
Regarding the displacement, CHR refers that there are 209 families has been forced to leave their houses to live under the sun or in the camps. Out of these families, 25 families belong to Aljerat in Saber Amwadim district during Oct. in addition to, 184 families from Alqoz in A’shroh Jaba Habashi District. However, these displaced families did not receive the required humanitarian and relief aids. Therefore, they are suffering from the bad natural conditions and the lack of humanitarian aids.
CHR confirms in his report that, water service, electricity, medical and sanitation services are still out of order. In addition, the medical situation is getting worse day after day. There is a critical lack of medicine in the hospitals and medical centers and units. In addition to, the huge number of injured citizens (children, women, old men, adults and men) who are laying there.
CHR requests all the Humanitarian Organizations, Institutions and the responsible persons in Yemen to carry their responsibilities towards the people in this damaged, epidemic and sieged city, and provide the people with the needed relief and humanitarian aids as soon as.
