Explanatory statement from the coalition of humanitarian relief and the local relief committee in Taiz about the continued detention and confiscation of relief supports.

All the spent efforts to persuade the besieged party for the city to launch this food and distribute it to the trapped since 9 months of the population have failed, but this party increase his own temerity and criminality, where he stressed the siege on the city and its bombardment of the neighborhoods of the densely populated, lay mine in the entrances of the city; resulting the total siege and full access to prevent the entry of oxygen cylinders to hospitals in the city until this moment.
It has become necessary for us in front of the people of the besieged city to clear that, AL Houthi militias and Saleh but the city in total siege – according to the statement of the World Health Organization –they are trying attempt after another to confuse international and internal public opinion and United Nations organizations and international and local media , sometimes denying that the city is under siege and sometimes trying to enter 2500 food basket for each of the of Alkahera and Muzaffar directorates, and the abolition of the geographical scope between the two directorates and limiting the distribution into two points (AlShab secondary school in Haud AL Ashraf and Taiz secondary school in Algimhory neighborhood aiming behind it bring about the following:
Appearing in front of the next UN delegation that Taiz may break the siege of to be reflected in the delegation’s report that he saw eye citizens own receiving relief and certainly he would not say when entered this relief and quantities, and the result it will appear from behind it gains for the next round of consultations.
the choice of the two points of distribution only to the number 2500 basket to each point is for the purpose of causing chaos; a result of what is expected from a stampede of tens of thousands of hungry citizens trapped since 9 months of fighting about 2,500 food baskets and show resistance and the local authority look incapable of implementation and management of relief work in the city, thus disqualifying the local authority and the Committee for Relief to continue to do so.
Therefore:
– We affirm that there is no food entered the besieged city at all and they are still being held and confiscated outside the city، and all the attempts that have been made and the concessions that we followed to alleviate the burden on the citizens within the city have failed and we hold these militias the responsibility of the arrival of many families to the stage of hunger investigator and the elimination of hunger because of this intransigence.
– We demand a field team followed the WFP، the United Nations and international organizations of relief to visit the field of the detention، and to prepare reports on the ground of reality.
– Putting the responsibility on those who held the relief materials and act outside of what is intended and planned, according to the World Food Program schedules, as well of manipulation of the components of the food basket.
