The Coalition in Taiz issuing a new report on the humanitarian situations in Taiz during Jul 2016

The Coalition of Humanitarian Relief in Taiz governorate, the middle of Yemen Republic, issued on Wed, a new report on the humanitarian situations of the governorate for July 2016, including the entire humanitarian and financial loose which has been recorded during the war besides the health and education statues and the big needs of relief aids for people in the governorate.

The Coalition has announced in its report about 46 murdered and 612 injured of civilians (some of them were women and children) during June 2016, including serious injuries due to sniping actions and random shelling to neighborhoods and traditional markets.

Damage and Destroying:-
The Coalition mentioned that two houses were exploded by mines and improvised explosive devices in the east of the city, besides other two houses were totally damaged and other nine houses were partly damaged due to the random shelling while ten houses of Alsarary village were burned.

The Coalition of Humanitarian Relief has assured in its report that the Water, Electricity and Sanitation services have been cut off, besides the lack of most health services and medicines due to the siege still imposed on the entrances of the city by militants from Alhuthi and Saleh’s who are based in the outskirts of the city.

The Tragedy of Alqabbaitah and Alsarary
Alqabbaitah district and Alsarary village were exposed by armed clashes in which the inhabitants were affected and displaced from their areas. As a result, the Coalition transported a food convey of 200 food baskets and dates to Alqabbaitah district and another convey of 600 food baskets funded by King Salman Center for Relief and medicaments funded by World Health Organization to Alsarary district.

Since a while, the Coalition of Humanitarian Relief in Taiz, through its office in Aden, transported food aids of 24 tons to more than 4000 families affected of Alwazeayeah district.
Displaced and Homeless
Hayfan District, located in the south of Taiz province, has had a wave of wide displacing during the war that took place recently.

The Coalition indicated that 441 families were displaced and evacuated from their homes by force, 421 families in Hayfan district, 142 families only displaced from Ala’aboos isolation of Hayfan, while 11 familes displaced from “Ghorab” area in the west of Taiz and 9 families of Algahmaliah, in the east of Taiz.

These displaced families, who moved from Hayfan district to the neighbor villages of Hayfan vicinity and to the villages of Alselw distric, Alhawban area, Alrahedah city, Aden, Ibb, Alhoddeidah, Thamar and Sana’a, couldn’t have the chance to collect anything of their personal stuff, property and furniture due to they were so frightened of death.

The Real Situation of Education:
The schools of Taiz governorate started the examination of the Elementary and Secondary Classes at the time of tens of Taiz schools were either damaged totally and partly by missiles and rockets.
Furthermore, Taiz University has remarkably received a lot of students as other colleges started resuming the educational process while others inaugurated the final exams that were suspended one year and half ago.
Needs:-

The Coalition of Humanitarian Relief, in Taiz, assures on the monthly needs of relief aids for the governorate, regarding health, environment, food, shelters, water and oil derivatives which were published in a previous report, in which they keep the public life progress of the governorate in secure.

Coalition clarified that the total cost of the monthly requirement to meet the requirements of the governorate in health and environment health is up to more than $ 82 million, besides that displaced families need to be provided with 50 thousand food baskets a month, and bereaved and affected families to be provided with 100 thousand food baskets a month as well.

Regarding the sheltering field, the problem of displaced people of the governorate is in need to supply 25 evacuation centers in order to decrease the suffering of (16,500 individuals) and (29858 of displaced and host families) in addition to two million people in need to have and use secure drinking water according to the standards of (Global Sphere).
In order to keep the public life progress of Taiz inhabitants secure, the governorate is in a big need to be supplied with (685800 liters of Diesel a month) in addition to a supply of (174600 liters of Petrol a month)

Taiz governorate lives a very hard and difficult humanitarian conditions since the beginning of the war (14th Apr 2015) as it has ended with the siege choking on the entrances for more than 11 months besides preventing any food items, pharmaceutical, medical or drinking water or even cylinders of oxygen of being delivered to the city across the main roads to be used by inhabitants, patients, injured people in the hospitals.
